Program Information

The Regular Program of the Chemical Engineering Study Program is a premier undergraduate program designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of chemical engineering principles and their applications in various industries. This Bachelor’s degree program (S1) leads to the academic title of Bachelor of Engineering (Sarjana Teknik, S.T.), a qualification required in various work fields.

The program requires students to complete a minimum of 144 credit hours, which are typically spread over 8 semesters, or 4 years of full-time study. The curriculum is carefully structured to provide a balance between theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and research competencies. Core subjects include thermodynamics, reaction engineering, process design, and environmental management, along with opportunities to explore specialized areas such as renewable energy, biotechnology, and process optimization.

In addition to classroom learning, students engage in laboratory experiments, industrial internships, and multidisciplinary projects to develop problem-solving skills and hands-on experience. The program emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and ethical practices, preparing graduates to address complex engineering challenges and contribute to societal advancement.

Graduates of the program have diverse career opportunities in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, and environmental management. They are also well-prepared to pursue advanced studies or research in chemical engineering and related fields.
